We'll start out with the rules for the contest, our family's submission and finally what you all can expect on the blog here!
The contest is for $250 worth of Vision Forum Products, 3 winners will be chosen.
The rules follow (from http://inashoe.com/):
"Here we go:
Get your new catalog - if you’re not on the mailing list, get on it now. No time to get it? Download the new 2008 Vision Forum catalog as a PDF here.
Flip through the pages, oohing and aahing over all the wonderful items, new and old. Note which ones are published by Vision Forum - you’ll see a VF logo near the title of the item. Try not to drool on it; you’ll be needing your catalog for the next step.
Now the fun part: Put together your own dream order of $250 or less of VF published items and post it to your blog with a link to Vision Forum and a link to this post. Yes, the stakes have been raised!
Leave me a comment here with a link to your post so I’ll know you entered. No entry without a valid link will be eligible. One entry per household, please, and if you won last time you already had your fun. Save some for others.
We will close entries this Friday (November 2) at 11:59 PM, CST and will choose 3 winners to receive all of the items on their wishlist!"
Take some time and visit http://inashoe.com/ and Vision Forum.
Here is our family entry: We hope you will learn a bit about some great products from Vision Forum and our family as you read.
- Our daughter Hattush was so very excited to see the Baby Doll Carrier ($14). She really enjoys caring for her babies and will make a super Mama as she grows in the grace of the Lord and matures!
- Missionary Heroism ($24) Our family loves biographies of godly men and women. We were so moved by the autobiography of John G. Paton and expect these stories to be treasured just as much!
- "That looks like Daddy!" That is what Hattush says each time she see a picture of Stonewall Jackson. Christ in the Camp ($25) would be a treat for this family! We are
amazed and humbled at the godly men of the Civil War.
- Again, history is amazing to our family, as we see God's Providential hand at work! Our next choice would be A Comprehensive Defense of the Providence of God in the Founding of America ($125)
- A Church in the House ($12) by Mathew Henry. I have been looking for this for quite some time! Yippie! Thank you to Vision Forum for making this available.
- Again, we have enjoyed history and hense our next pick... Providential Battles II ($25). We have the first set and so enjoy them!
- And lastly, you've guess it, history again! Sabers, Spears and Catapults ($25) As our family is studying our way through the scriptures in family worship and are in I Samuel currently, we thought we would all benefit from these lectures.
So here we have our family's wish list amounting to $250.
Now a little about our family and what to expect here on this blog.
We are the Reschly Family: Eric, Trish, Hattush and Jehosheba (praying still for more wee blessings!) We own an online shop called Adorned with Modesty. This will likely develop into a blog for the shop detailing special offers and giveaways. We cannot promise they will be quite so grand as this lovely contest, but we pray they will be greatly profitable to your family in your loving service to our Great Lord and King, Jehovah.
If you would like to visit our shop you may at: http://www.adornedwithmodesty.com/
We may also post a little more personal side of our family and information on our journey to Seminary as a family. It is nearing time. Our Lord has been so gracious to grant our family the desire to see Eric in Seminary for several years and at the end of the month- should our Lord sustain our family and bring us out by his good pleasure- we plan to go to Pittsburgh. Eric is looking to attend RPTS. We thank you all for your support and love!
Sincerely,
The Reschly Family
